Prior to your first appointment an initial patient questionnaire is to be completed, providing as much detail as possible about your current condition and your health in general.
Within the consultation room your questionnaire is expanded on giving the best understanding of your condition and enabling the appropriate orthopaedic assessments to be carried out.
During assessment it’s preferable for comfortable or looser clothing to be worn enabling easy movement, such as a t-shirt and shorts or gym attire.
Tighter or restrictive clothing such as jeans isn’t ideal and if inappropriate clothing is worn a treatment gown may be offered to you for your assessment and treatment.
Once physical assessment is completed and a working diagnosis formed, an appropriate treatment plan will be discussed providing options where possible and highlighting how long it will take for your body to recover and some important factors to limit the likelihood of further aggravation.
