About Village Health
Village Health Mind and Body is the brainchild of Dr Rod Kinkead.
Village Health provides a truly patient centric space whereby the skills of practitioners help the very community we live in. As a local to the area, it was refreshing to find a suitable ground floor community space to bring this dream to life!
You’ve probably heard the phrase ‘it takes a village’ and that idea is so very true in physical therapy. Often, physical issues of a long standing nature are multifactorial or complex and Village Health’s aim is to provide quality healthcare with in-house and cross community referrals at the core to accelerate your healing and recovery.
About Dr Rod Kinkead
As a teenager I suffered from horrendous migraine headaches that took some very strong medications to get under control. This led me to find another way as the side effects of these medications were almost as bad as the headaches themselves. So I tried a raft of treatment options finally getting lasting and permanent relief via chiropractic and osteopathy. This is where the light-bulb moment occurred and my passion for healthcare without drugs or surgery began. Hence today that is one of my driving influences, being able to help others find comfort and relief without the need for strong medications.
I’m a family focused Osteopath providing traditional osteopathic care for all ages, including babies, children and pregnant women. My treatment approach is guided by experience and is aimed to address the cause of your problem, not merely treating the symptoms. Regardless of your age or the severity of your pain/dysfunction, I draw on a wide array of techniques to provide you with a treatment that is aimed at reducing your pain, improving your physical movement and enabling your body to recover quicker from injury through an optimised level of health.
I’m a qualified Osteopath practicing traditional holistic Osteopathy. In order to gain this professional recognition I studied a 3 year Bachelor of Clinical Science degree and a 2 year Masters of Osteopathic Medicine. Additionally I’m currently an Australian registered Osteopath participating in Medicare and private health insurance rebated treatments.
